Building a Bicycle Friendly Community.
Bike Harrisburg is a partnership of several community organizations in the greater Harrisburg area that encourage people to use their bikes for transportation, recreation, environmental and health reasons. Any bicycle related group is welcome to become a Bike Harrisburg partner.
Bike Harrisburg recognizes that more people will ride their bikes if roads and pathways are made safer and more accessible.
Bike Harrisburg serves as the primary bicycle advocacy group in the greater Harrisburg area.
How can you help?
You can be an advocate for bicycling by attending local planning meetings, contacting government officials, attending advocacy events, and serving on advocacy committees. Of course, monetary donations are always needed to offset expenses for events and publications. Just riding your bike more for transportation helps too!
